National Day of Action for Darfur

Host an event September 21st, and join communities all across the country in a National Day of Action for Darfur.

You can take action by meeting with your elected representatives, organizing a prayer vigil or hosting a video screening. At each event, we would like participants to write to President Bush. We will provide postcards upon request.

In concert with your event and those occurring across the nation, leaders of major organizations will convene in Washington for a National Leadership Assembly for Darfur. These leaders will meet with government officials to reinforce the American public’s demands that the United States take decisive and effective action to protect the people of Darfur.

Mini-Grants

You can apply for a mini-grant to help underwrite the cost of your event. Each award will provide up to $200 and will include postcards. Please email grants@savedarfur.org to receive the grant guidelines. To apply, please answer the following questions and direct your responses to Martha Heinemann (martha@savedarfur.org).

Once you have submitted your application, you should expect to receive a response within 5 days.

3.) How will you use the funds you are requesting?
4.) Who is the target audience of the event?
5.) Where and when will the event be held?
6.) Is this mini-grant your only option for funding? Please explain.
