Darfur Under Threats to Sign Peace Treaty?!

It is amazing to me that so many have died due to genocide by the Sudanese government, yet the UN is ready to put sanctions on the people who have suffered rape, murder, slavery, amputations, etc. I am very angry about this.

The African Union (AU) has not been given the authority to use their weapons, if they have any, to protect the people within the refugee camps. Now they are complaining they cannot protect the people from the janjaweed, the militia the government is supporting to commit genocide against the black Africans in the Darfur region.
AU forces have come under attack by frustrated Darfuris in the camps, who beat to death an AU translator earlier this month saying the AU was not protecting them from rape, killing and looting.

But the AU has trouble protecting itself. An AU soldier was killed and five other wounded in two attacks in Masteri in south-west Darfur last week. [continue reading]
The Sudanese government is behind reasons why these two rebel groups cannot sign the treaty. The two groups involved are Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) and Justice and Equality Movement (JEM).

These are the groups that have been fighting back against genocide, and this is what the AU and the UN think about them:
The AU has raised the spectre of U.N. sanctions against the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) faction led by Abdel Wahed Mohammed al-Nur and the rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) if they did not sign before May 31.
I am totally outraged. They have not put sanctions on Sudan! They have not put sanctions on North Korea, Iran, China, etc. for their abuses of human rights.

I am so upset right now I don't even know if I'm making sense. If you have been watching what is happening in Darfur, then you understand.

If not, please use the search for "sudan" or "darfur" that is available on this site. You will become more knowledgable. Thank you.
