  • Forbes reported that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Friday the six-nation talks on proposed sanctions against Iran 's nuclear program could take place early next week.

  • Eli Lake, The New York Sun reported that President Bush questioned the wisdom of those advocating a "graceful exit" from Iraq , a clear signal to the White House, which is preparing to respond to the recommendations of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group to be published on Wednesday.
  • Charles Krauthammer, The Washington Post reported that the "realists" have ridden into town gleefully consigning the Bush doctrine to the ash heap of history, everyone has discovered the notion of interests, as if it were some new idea thought up by James Baker and the Iraq Study Group.
