  • Middle East Newsline reported that several hundred Hamas operatives have recently left the Gaza Strip for Iran for several weeks of military training by Iran 's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Iran parliament votes to reduce IAEA cooperation.
  • DNA India reported that Iran 's parliament on Wednesday approved a bill that obliges the government to "revise its cooperation" with the UN nuclear watchdog after Tehran was slapped with Security Council sanctions.
Iran Is Buying More Influence in Afghanistan.
  • The New York Times reported that the Iranian regime has distributed more than $200 million in Afghanistan and Iranian radio stations are broadcasting anti-American propaganda into Afghanistan.

  • The New York Times reported that, in an update on the Iranians captured in Iraq , credible evidence linking them to attacks against American forces and to shipments of weapons to illegal armed groups in Iraq.

  • MSNBC reported that Pope Benedict XVI received a letter Wednesday from Iran 's hard-line president about the recent U.N. Security Council resolution imposing sanctions against Tehran.
