  • The Jerusalem Post reported that the Middle East has undergone a dramatic shift in alignments, perhaps more significant than anything that has happened since the 1950s.
Iran, Venezuela agree to thwart ‘ US domination’.
  • YNet News reported that Presidents Chavez, Ahmadinejad said they are ready to spend billions of dollars to finance projects in other countries to help thwart US domination.
  • The Scotsman reported that Venezuela and Iran are ready to spend up to £1 billion to help other countries free themselves from domination by the United States.
Cheney's Warning to Iran : Keep Your Hands Off Iraq.
  • FOX News reported that in an interview Vice President Cheney warned Iran to stop supporting the insurgents in Iraq.
  • DEBKAfile reported that the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff told Congress Friday that Iranians are now on the US target list in Iraq.
Iran demands nationals' release.
  • BBC News reported that Iran has demanded that the US military immediately release five of its nationals detained in a raid in northern Iraq on Thursday.
Russia abandons the Islamic Republic.
  • Iran Press News reported that the vice-chairman of the security and foreign policy of the Islamic parliament (the Majles) said: "The next steps that the Islamic Republic must take to deal with such countries as Russia , that take hostile actions against us, is to cut off ties…trade, economic and political relations with them."

  • Iran Press News reported that the environmental advisor to the mayor of Tehran said: “The environmental crisis in Tehran has reached such serious and deadly proportions that from mid-October to mid-November 4500 people died of heart attacks which were 80% related to air pollution.”
  • Fars News Agency reported that Iranian officials strongly rejected rumors about eruption of clashes between Iranian and US battleships in the Persian Gulf.
