Womens' Rights Day for Muslims, 3/8/2007

This is a very touching story about a woman who can never go home, although that is her dream. Why not? Because she turned away from Islam and its' brutality.
25.32 minutes.

This is a remarkable woman who speaks very well about what she is demanding from society in general and Islam in particular. The one thing that saddens me about her speech is that while she has turned her back on the religion of Islam, she has lost all faith in religion (IT APPEARS). This I find rather sad, since my life has been so enriched by it.
19 minutes or so.

This woman is also incredible, although an interpreter is used. She speaks German rather well! I do not. lol. Please listen to what these ladies have to say. You claim you want to hear someone speak out? Well. Then listen.
19.17 minutes.

A great big Hat Tip to Serendip.

You may want to add him to your blogroll, because I guarantee you will read news you may have missed. Thanks, and have a great day.

Darfur, Sudan: The news that didn't make the front page

Darfur's tragedy spills into Central African Republic. This is an article that will make you angry and sad at the same time. I do not understand how anyone can stand by, watch this fall apart, and then declare that it has nothing to do with anything. But that is just what happened here. If that link is no longer available, try this one.

Darfur rebels look to unify. There are over 100 'rebel' commanders gathered trying to find a way to unify themselves so that the people in the Darfur region of Sudan could be better served. It's amazing, isn't it? In Africa, you are called a 'rebel' if you fight against the taking over of the Islamists, but if you are in the ME? You are known as an 'insurgent', even though you are on foreign land! Amazing. If that link no longer is available, try this one.

Key facts about Darfur. This provides a list of some of the conflicts, ceasefires, and peacekeepers. If that link is no longer available, try this one.

Chad lawmakers pass amnesty law for rebels. The Chadian government has come to an agreement to sign an amnesty for the 'rebels' who have not committed crimes against humanity. It is their hope that the others will feel free to return to their homes and there may be peace once again. Well, as much as there ever was peace. If that link no longer is available, try this one.

Iran, Sudan close ranks in face of Western pressure. Sudan and Iran are closing ranks under the pressure of the world community. If that link is no longer available, try this one.

Chad may consider U.N. police to protect Darfur refugees. Once again, the UN is trying to tell everyone how bad everyone else is because they disagree with the 'Oh such great powers to be' of their body. I don't blame Chad. Did they not, after all, already express concern early this week? Hmm? If that link is no longer available, try this one.

News from North Korea: CNN

This is news from CNN, so take it with a grain of salt. I wish there were some news that had the guts to report the NEWS instead of their opinion. Oh well. We must do with what we have. lol.
